Heart SMILY

So I’ve been fasting for the last few days, I needed some extra clarity in my life. Anyway, I am, right now, breaking my fast with a communion of orange juice and an everything bagel. Because, there’s no grape juice in the house at the moment, and just a plain piece of bread didn’t seem right compared to an everything bagel…because Jesus is everything right? So I’ve got my bagel all fixed up and ready to eat and I go to put it on the plate & realize there’s a heart in the middle! God loves me!

    • Huh, I don’t think so. 😦

      • Enjoyed your blog…very inspiring and sweet. Also the heart in the middle! Thank you!! Do you often take communion when by yourself? 🙂
Please come and visit my blog as well….

      • Actually as of late I’ve been taking communion every morning after the kids leave for school. There are times when I’ll be eating something and the Holy Spirit will point out that I’m eating the elements and hadn’t even realized it. He is so sweet that way! 🙂

      • Tamar (love your name BTW)….can you share some other things you feel that God personally shares with you that might be considered outside the norm?…or better explained; something that the church does not teach exactly, but God specifically inspires you to do?

Did you get a chance to read any posts? I’d love to get your feedback…as it sounds like you have a good grasp on living in grace…

      • Sadly, I have not had a lot of time to read much yet. 😦 It makes me smile to hear that you feel I have a good grasp of grace, it has not been an easy road that’s for sure!!!
As for things that I do outside the norm it really depends on the denomination your from.
I grew up basically Methodist, and if you’re going by that denomination then I do a LOT of things outside the norm! 🙂
About a year ago, around the time I went on my Walk to Emmaus, I started a project I’ve called the “Writing through the Bible in a Year” project. That’s where the majority of my blog/books have come from. They are my journey to find Grace.
You see, I grew up in churches of different denominations my entire life, yet somehow lived for 32 years before I truly encountered God’s radical Grace. And I was only blessed with that by literally fasting from all the other voices I was listening to and simply reading the Bible on my own and asking the Holy Spirit to guide me into all Truth, HIS Truth and nothing else.
The changes that have taken place from that one simple action in my life are amazing and immaculate. When God says that the Holy Spirit is our teacher it’s the Truth! He really will and does guide us into His truth, which is, I’m finding, very different that the “truth” we’ve been fed through modern religion that clings to things of the past. Jesus came and the whole world changed and has continued to change, yet the Church gets stuck in the ancient past. So often we embrace Jesus, yet fail to embrace the changes that He came to make.
Honestly, it’s a long story and I could go on all day. But I can tell you that I would love to talk to you more about it if you’d like to email me http://www.tamarknochel.com, and I can send you my phone number and we can actually TALK. 😉 Basically, if you really want to know more, read the blog from the beginning. It’s a lot, but it’s life changing! 🙂 As a side note I feel I should tell you that it started with massive changes in my marriage, so if you click on “start reading at the beginning” that’s where it will take you. And I address marriage issues, sex and all. 😉 Just wanted to make sure you were warned. 🙂
I am very excited about getting to read your blog in the future, when I’m not in the publishing phase and have time to READ again. 🙂
Also, as soon as I get finished with all the editing/formatting fun I will be launching the new website, Walk of Ages, that will be a Bible Study based on the Writing Through the Bible in a Year project. I’d love it if you would like to join us!!! 😀 I can say with extreme confidence that if you do it, you will never be the same again! God’s word is ALIVE!

      • Tamar! I am blessed that you took the time to write such a lengthy resonse to my comments…..I would love to talk over the phone, as I have very little fellowship.(long story) My email is com4tea@yahoo.com and I would be glad to give you my number.

I love the word of God and can say that out of experience too and not just because it is something Christians are supposed to say….and as you may be able to see as you read some of my posts.

I went to my Emmaus weekend many years ago…’92 I think. I cried and was amazed the whole time!! I am looking forward to the talk….and to talking more.
        Jenny
